The Arkansas Razorbacks Women's Hockey Club is proud to announce the addition of Allaya Smiley to the 2024-25 roster. Allaya comes from St. Louis, MO to play defense for the Hogs. Allaya played her high school hockey for Affton High School and the Chesterfield Falcons U19AA program.
Allaya was a Student Council Executive Committee President and will be majoring in Biology Pre-Med and Arabic at Arkansas. When asked about why she chose Arkansas, Allaya said, "I loved the vibe the campus provided and it gave me the opportunity to still play hockey." Allaya was first introduced to hockey through a friend and a program called Man Advantage that helped introduce kids to hockey and offset costs for families. "I'm excited about exploring new cultures as an Arabic major, and getting to know my teammates as we start the first ever season off."
The University of Arkansas Women’s Hockey team plays in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The 2024-25 season will be the team’s first season as a member of the ACHA competing in Division II. The team’s schedule can be viewed here. All home games are played at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale, AR.
