The Arkansas Razorbacks are excited to announce that winger Ava Haertling has been added to the 2025-26 recruiting class. Haertling, a St. Louis, MO resident, comes to Arkansas from Chesterfield 19U AA and Timberland High School Varsity teams. Ava plans to major in Biology at Arkansas.

Ava grew up in Springfield, MO and is very familiar with the Ozarks, which she cited as one of her reasons for choosing Arkansas. Ava got started in hockey after seeing her older brother play. She has been a part of high-performing teams, winning both the Blue Note Cup and Motown Cup. In past years, Ava has played for the STL Lady Cyclones Elite, Kansas City Storm, and Springfield Spirit.

The University of Arkansas Women’s Hockey team plays in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The 2024-25 season will be the team’s first season as a member of the ACHA competing in Division II. The team’s schedule can be viewed here. All home games are played at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale, AR.
